Dear Cardinal Mooney Families,
As most of you know, Ohio’s EdChoice program was greatly expanded this past year, making all Ohio families eligible to receive state scholarship money to support their child’s education. We are blessed in Ohio to have numerous state scholarship opportunities and looking forward to leveraging those scholarships to benefit our families.
Our tuition rate for this school year is $8,700 in addition to the $500 Student Life Fee; our 2024-25 School Year tuition will be $9,500 plus the $300 Student Life Fee. You will notice, we have shifted some of the cost of the Student Life Fee to tuition. The additional revenue from the increase will be used to cover the cost of salaries and benefits and will help support our growing academic, faith-formation, and enrichment programming. The actual cost to educate a student at Cardinal Mooney is $13,500 annually. We are grateful for the generous support of our alumni, benefactors, and the Diocese of Youngstown, who bridge this gap and help keep Catholic education affordable for our families.
We are happy to share that we will continue to offer a benefit to our parishioners, with a $1,000 Parishioner Grant, as our families’ weekly attendance at Mass and active participation in their parish activities are essential parts of the faith formation of our students. However, we will begin to phase out the sibling discount, starting with new families next year. If you have a student at Cardinal Mooney and are enrolling an additional student for next year, the credit will be applied.
You will find your Tuition Agreement, EdChoice Renewal Form, and EdChoice Authorization Form in this mailing. Please read, complete, and return to the main office by Friday, March 8. Completed forms can also be emailed to Mrs. Dina Divincenzo. Once a signed tuition agreement has been submitted, students will then be permitted to schedule classes.
